Inspiring Innovation: The Award-Winning Journey of Pabitra Mohan Dash in Education

                    Pabitra Mohan Dash  is a name synonymous with educational

excellence in Odisha,    India.          His dedication to bridging the gap  between school and home, while fostering a love of  learning,  has  not  only  transformed classrooms  but   also   garnered  him   a multitude of prestigious awards.

A Passion Ignited

   Born in 1976 in the village 


 of  
Chitrkunda, Malkangiri district, 

Pabitra's educational journey began at 
Chitrkunda Primary School. His passion 
for learning continued at Kolab Nagar
 Primary School from 1982 to 1990, followed by higher education at Vikramdev University, Jeypur. Completing his teacher training at DIET Jeypur, he embarked on a remarkable career dedicated to enriching the lives of students.

From Classroom to Community

           Sri Dash's teaching career began at Saraswati Shishu Mandir Jeypur in 1996. Since then, he has served at Mankadabeda Primary School (2001-2012), PUPS Khataluguda (2012-2021), PUPS Kosaguda (2021-2022), and currently holds the position at UPS Bansuli of Kotad, Koraput district. Throughout his journey, he has championed innovative initiatives that go beyond textbooks.

A Spark of Innovation

        Driven by the desire to minimize the gap between school and home, Pabitra has implemented over 50 unique activities in his schools. These include establishing herbal gardens, flower gardens, kitchen gardens, playgrounds, wall magazines, sahidsthambhas (memorials), artificial ponds, wish boxes, and even a "Ramanka Dokan" (student-run shop)! These initiatives not only enhance the learning environment but also foster creativity, environmental awareness, and a sense of community ownership.

Recognition of Excellence

Pabitra Mohan Dash's dedication has been recognized at the highest levels. He is the proud recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious National Best Teacher Award (2018) from the Government of India, the State Best Teacher Award (2016) from the Government of Odisha, PrakrutiMitra (2016) and Prakruti Bandhu (2014) awards from the Government of Odisha, the Zero Investment National Award (2020) from MHRD India, and the Swachh Vidyalay Puraskar 2019. He has also been honored by other states like Karnataka and international organizations.
